This position is responsible for supervising and guiding radiation therapy staff, ensuring accurate and efficient treatment delivery under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist. This role includes assigning and reviewing work, monitoring productivity, managing staffing levels, and addressing complex treatment issues. Additionally, assists with HR functions such as hiring, staff development, and resolving employee concerns. Supports policy interpretation and procedural updates while collaborating with leadership to maintain high-quality patient care and workflow efficiency. 

 

As a successful candidate, you will: 

  • Ensure the delivery of quality services in area of operations. Act as an educational resource and is available for consultation to nursing, and administrative staff.
  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of the radiation therapy clinic, providing direction to clinical staff on scheduling or staffing related issues
  • Prepare work schedules, assigns personnel, serves as resource on the administrative work performance of clinical staff and makes recommendations for personnel actions.
  • Maintain clear understanding of Radiation Oncology billing procedures. Reviews and processes charges as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

  • Post high school vocational or specialized training
  • Seven years as a therapist registered with the Association of Registered Radiation Therapists (ARRT)
  • Accredited radiologic technology course and radiation therapy course
  • Licensed by the California State Department of Health (Certified in Radiation Therapy)
  • Registration by ARRT (diagnostic and therapeutic)
  • BLS or CPR
