Performs assessment of clinical and life issues for the patients of CoH. Provides professional nursing services in support of the physician, in the direct and indirect care of patients. RN works side by side with providers to manage past, present, and future Radiation patients by providing education, side effects management, and care coordination. Nurse will also assist with some procedures.

The successful candidate:

  • Must be able to work Monday-Friday, 1st/Days; 5-8s or 4-10s.

  • Patient Assessment and Care: Conducts assessments of clinical and life issues for patients. Provides nursing services to support physicians in both direct and indirect patient care. Works closely with providers to manage radiation patients, offering education, side effects management, and care coordination. Assists with procedures, treatments, health promotion, and provides support and reassurance to ensure informed decisions regarding therapeutic plans. Documents care according to department standards.

  • Compliance and Policy Development: Ensures compliance with hospital policies and accrediting agencies, adhering to best nursing practices. Participates in the development, review, and updating of policies and procedures.

  • Team Guidance: Provides guidance to clinical and ancillary personnel on their immediate team.

  • Additional Duties: Performs additional tasks to support the department's operations and the satisfaction of patients, families, caregivers, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

  • Current Georgia RN license from an accredited college

  • BSN required or enrolled within 6 months of hire and BSN completed within three years from hire date

  • BLS (Obtain AHA certification within 30 days of hire)

  • 3 years oncology experience preferred
