Cytotechnologist - Full Time, Days (Monday - Friday)

Take the next step in your cytology career with this exciting opportunity! This full-time, Monday–Friday daytime position reports to the Supervisor of the Cytology Laboratory and plays a vital role in patient care. Be at the forefront of diagnosing benign and malignant conditions by performing a full range of cytologic tests to detect cancer, infections, and other cellular abnormalities. Your expertise will help ensure efficient and effective laboratory operations, directly supporting the medical staff in delivering the highest quality care.

As a successful candidate, you will: 

  • Perform cytology diagnoses alongside pathologists, identifying benign and malignant conditions.
  • Classify and present abnormal slides for further examination while ensuring proper staining and slide preparation.
  • Analyze and report findings on specimens, assisting in patient follow-up evaluations.
  • Prepare detailed cytopathology diagnostic reports with recommendations for further evaluation or treatment.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance, track screening workload data, and contribute to staff education and technical training.

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include: 

  • Three to five years in a cytology lab as a certified cytotechnologist.  Proven interpretive skill.
  • California Cytotechnologist license.
  • Certification as a Cytotechnologist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists

Additional Information:

  • Hourly Pay Range: $43.17/hr. - $66.92/hr.
