Our rapidly expanding City of Hope Department of Hematology/HCT and Cellular Therapies seeks a Leukemia specialist to provide services at our Duarte campus. Join one of the top, nationally recognized, Cancer Centers as  we  seek  to  hire  a  full-time clinical faculty member at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. Seeking research and mission-minded physicians who provide exceptional patient-centered care through clear communication and collaboration with members of the subspecialty teams and active participation in the growing clinical and translational research programs. HIGHLIGHTS

    •  226 bed hospital
    • 15 bed evaluation and treatment center
    • 18 bed closed ICU

  • Base Salary Range: $390K - $425K (Assistant Clinical to Associate Clinical Professor levels).The range listed is exclusively for base compensation for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual compensation will be adjusted for experience, training, hospital/community need and other factors. 

DUTIES

·         Clinical time is divided between outpatient service and inpatient at our Duarte campus, with opportunities to rotate on the inpatient service at our Irvine campus

·         Opportunities for clinical/translational research, access to resources for professional development/grant mentorship

Qualifications

·       M.D. or D.O. from an accredited educational institution

·       Board certified/eligible in Hematology and/ or Medical Oncology

·       Training and/or experience in hematopoietic cell transplantation, CAR T and other types of cellular therapies is highly recommended. 

·        Excellent clinical skills and experience in malignant hematology with evidence of ability and desire to build a practice and think programmatically.

·       Experience working in an academic medical center or specialty cancer center that delivers both clinical and translational research to patients diagnosed with cancer *preferred but not required

·        Academic record consistent with appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor

·        Possession of, or eligibility for, unrestricted CA medical license
