The successful candidate:

Assists in maintaining supplies and equipment for procedural services; stocks supplies, cleans and prepares exam rooms; performs point of service check-in and check out functions; assists with patient registration process; manages referrals and pre-certifications; collects lab specimens according to departmental guidelines; performs EKG's; takes vital signs; assists physicians with procedures within the medical assistant (MA) Scope of Practice, which may include but not limited to the following: external laboratory specimens, UA, EKGs, procedure set ups, etc.; documents in electronic medical records (EMR); and orders supplies as needed.

Essential Functions:

• Stock management to include stocking exam rooms, procedure rooms, and supply carts with all necessary supplies.  
• Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Assist with ordering and receiving of all surgical supplies.
• Perform check-in and check-out functions at designated workstations.
• Point of Service Collections.
• Collect labs specimens according to departmental guidelines.
• Perform EKG’s.
• Take vital signs.
• Assist physician with procedures within the Medical Assistant (MA) Scope of Practice.  
• Documentation in electronic medical records (EMR).
• Order supplies as needed.

Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED equivalency- graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist Training program
