The successful candidate:

**Sign-on bonus of $5000

Hours: 40 hrs per week

1st week: Thurs/Sat/Sun 10pm - 6:30am, Mon/Tues 2:30pm - 11pm

2nd week: Mon-Thurs 2:30pm - 11pm, Fri 10pm - 6:30am

The Medical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for accurately performing a variety of routine and complex laboratory tests and reporting results within the expected turnaround time to assist healthcare providers deliver the most optimal patient outcomes. Maintains an understanding of the theory behind each of these laboratory procedures and has ability to identify and report problems. Performs, as assigned, all required maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment per departmental procedures.  

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, Biological Sciences, or related field and/or equivalent experience required. 

  • Minimum of 1 year experience working in a medical laboratory preferred. MLS (ASCP) or equivalent preferred.

Skills:

Professional demeanor and extremely flexible to accommodate department needs. Effective collaboration and communication skills ensuring teamwork with co-workers, nursing staff and physicians. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). Excellent organizational, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
